Ashlee Simpson Impressed In A Backless Black Dress At The American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala [Photos]

Ashlee Simpson, 28, showed off her stunning figure in a backless dress at the premiere of the New York City Ballet, in Lincoln Center, on Monday evening.

Jessica Simpson's little sis, proved that she can be every bit as stylish as her older sister, when she hit the red carpet at the American Ballet Theatre Opening Night Spring Gala in her jaw-dropping gown, Extra TV reports.

The floor-length backless black gown was designed by Alice + Olivia, Us Weekly reports.  The dress featured lace and a feathered peplum accent at the waist, and she accessorized with lovely emerald green earrings, smokey gray eye shadow and a compact black and gold cylinder clutch.

Simpson wore her wavy blonde hair in a loose pony tail, allowing the backless detail to be exposed as she posed for photographs, MyDaily reports.  This new look is so far from reminiscent of her failed 2004 Saturday Night Live lip syncing performance.

Other glamorous celebrities in attendance included Coco Rocha, Lucy Liu, Uma Thurman, Anne V., Alek Wek, Sasha Cohen, Jessica Stam, Robyn Lawley, Misty Copeland, Chanel Iman, Michaela DePrince, Sigourney Weaver, and Rachel Roy and her daughter, according to Daily Mail.
