Netflix' Korean Series 'Kingdom' Hopes To Cast Joo Ji-hoon, Ryu Seung-ryong & Bae Doo-na

Netflix will be showing another Korean original series that will surely be a hit to historical-themed films with a touch of the popular zombie thriller. The success of zombie outbreak's like "Train to Busan", "The Walking Dead" and "World War Z" will attract its avid viewers to another of upcoming Netflix series in 2018 titled "Kingdom." The popular South Korean drama series "Signal" writer Kim Eun-hee and director Kim Seong-hun will be the show's main runner while three popular South Korean stars were chosen to be part of the main cast.

In a report from Dramabeans Joo Ji-hoon, Ryu Seung-ryong and Bae Doo-na have been shortlisted for the main cast of "Kingdom." The story will happen at the historical period of Joseon at a time of crisis, in this case, the crown prince is set to solve the mystery. The Netflix series "Kingdom" consists of 8 episodes of action and thriller when the mystery uncovered was due to an ongoing zombie outbreak that is set to plague the entire country.

Much to the disappointment of many Korean drama viewers, allkpop reports that Song Joong Ki has already turned down the offer to be in "Kingdom." Song Joong Ki is reportedly getting married to actress Song Hye Kyo and has decided to focus on the wedding preparations. Unfortunately for the "Kingdom", the series will start shooting scenes in October, and the stars chosen for the role has not yet confirmed or announced.

If Joo Ji-hoon gets the role of the crown prince, he will not only be faced with zombie attacks, but it seems that there will be other hindrances to his mission. Ryu Seung-ryong and Bae Doo-na has been known for their roles in "Dorihwaga" and "Forest of Secrets" respectively and will be a great addition to the ambitious and powerful storyline of "Kingdom."
