"DuckTales" returns and it targets a whole new generation of kids as it introduces the very famous Scrooge McDuck and his three grandnephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Who would never forget their adventures as it was first shown by Walt Disney Television Animation on September 18, 1987, and in a span of 3 years was able to complete four seasons of 100 episodes in all. Its last episode aired on November 28, 1990, and was revived once again by Matt Youngberg and Francisco Angones for Disney XD on August 12, 2017, under the same title with a one-hour special titled "Woo-oo!"

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Disney animated television series last Sept 18, Mashable recalls a few information about "Duck Tales", its reboot and some tidbits about its creator Carl Barks. To trace the family tree of these characters, Scrooge McDuck and Donald Duck are very near relatives, as such the former is the treasure-freak uncle of Donald Duck with some distinct features. The shirts that they wear now is still the same from the classic comic book where Scrooge McDuck wears a red jacket while Donald Duck stays with his black shirt.

In addition, the locations mentioned on their TV series are real but are just renamed like Silverbeak which is Silverlake, Macaw which is really Macau and Neverrest which was inspired by Everest. The three grandnephews are also unique based on their birth order which can be determined by the differences in their personalities. CBR also reports that the first Scottish actor to voice over Scrooge McDuck is David Tennant who has also done "Doctor Who" and "Marvel's Jessica Jones."

Because of Scrooge's interests in treasure race, Carl Barks shared his own paintings and artifacts which are all over Scrooge's home. More details include Scrooge's plane "The Sunchaser" which was named after the very first plane launchpad owner inspired from the original series. Scrooge McDuck still uses his weapon disguised as a walking cane which was also seen in the 1989 video game "DuckTales."

Now as it continues on to its first season, "DuckTales" will have another premiere on Sept 23, Saturday on Disney XD with two back-to-back episodes, airing at 7 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m., 5 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. ET/PT. The 21-episode half-hour animated series is already renewed for its second season.
