The iconic Nokia 3310 released earlier this year will level up from its 2G-only network capabilities to a 3G capable one, along with new colors to choose from. Due to the limiting 2G and 2.5G network coverage to some countries, it is best that Nokia through HMD Global has already thought of upgrading Nokia 3310 to cater to a lot more. The new Nokia 3310 3G model will have a more comprehensive update over its predecessor and will come with a much bigger color display for seeing well the apps, with the same 2MP rear camera and a microSD slot.

HMD Global promises the new Nokia 3310 3G to have a new user interface, four new colors and a 3G radio, GSMArena reports. Different color variants include Azure, Yellow, Warm Red or Charcoal and commits to a talk time of 6.5 hours and 27 days of standby time. Given its 3G capabilities, the previous 22.1 hours for the 2G version has decreased to only 6.5 hours however Nokia 3310 3G users will have 1.7 hours more standby compared to the 2G variant.

This time, the famous basic phone of Nokia will not only be for text, call, and a snake game but it can now support the use of applications like Facebook, Twitter, and Skype. In a report from TechCrunch there will be a 13.29% additional volume for Nokia 3310 3G to still accommodate the keyboard that every Nokia 3310 user just loves. HMD Global introduced Nokia 3310 3G in a recently held press release to shed light to those whose places are already 2G- diminished as well as promote its basic features of call and text with an addition of a 3G data connection.

Because of this upgrade, the OS of Nokia 3310 3G will differ to its predecessor 2G variant and as such, its price will definitely more than that of its 2G version at €69. Also, Australia will be one of the first countries to experience the 3G feel of Nokia 3310 by mid-October.
