The prosecution may finally have some solid evidence against Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. According to the former assistant director of the FBI John Miller, Tsarnaev left a note on the inside of the Watertown boat in which he was eventually captured that detailed his motives for the attack on the Boston Marathon. Miller, who is now a CBS correspondent, broke the news on CBS This Morning.

"Basically the note says that he does not mourn his brother Tamerlan, that Tamerlan was a martyr now and that he was in paradise, that Dzhokhar expected to join him there soon," Miller said. "That the bombings were in retribution for the US crimes against Muslims in places like Iraq and Afghanistan; that the victims of the Boston bombing were 'collateral damage,' the same way innocent victims have been collateral damage in US wars around the world, summing up that when you attack one Muslim, you attack all Muslims."

This evidence came at an opportune time for the scrambling prosecution. Miller calls this the first "claim of responsibility" by Tsarnaev that can be admitted to a trial. While it is widely believed that Tsarnaev confessed this motive during interrogation, reports claim that he was not read his Miranda rights prior to the questioning, which can render the confession inadmissible.
