What ever happened to Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato's "BFF" relationship? The former Disney stars met on "Barney and Friends" in their youth and formed a lasting friendship right away, but we have not seen them hanging out like they used to! In a recent interview in Complex magazine Lovato revealed that her she does not have "loads of friends" anymore after he sting in rehab in 2010. Was Gomez a friend that didn't make the cut after Demi's emotional time in rehab? Luckily Lovato sat down with MTV News recently to talk about her music and her friendship with Selena Gomez.
"It's so awesome to see her come so far," the 20-year-old said about Gomez. "We've been through a lot together. We've had periods of times when we grew apart, and we just didn't really talk."
"But now we're in a place where I think we realize that life is so short, and that when you have people in your life that love you so much, then you should just always be around them."
"And she's going to be a big sister!" Lovato explained (Gomez recently announced on Mother's Day that her mom is expecting another child). "And I want to be around for that! So, everything about her is just - she has a great soul, she's talented, she's beautiful, and she will always be really, really close to my heart."
Well that is great news! It turns out that Selena and Demi are still friends despite not being as close as they once were. It looks like we might get to see them hanging out again, too!
Both singers have been seeing some great success this year. Both are releasing new music and have been supporting each other.
