Dylan Michael Patton, who played Will Horton in NBC's 'Days of our Lives' from 2009-2010, was charged with possession of cocaine and intent to sell out of his Los Angeles home on Thursday.

Patton, 20, was accused of selling cocaine out of his Agora Hills home, which lies next to Sumac Elementary School, CNN reports.  The criminal complaint charges him with selling drugs within 1,000 feet of an elementary school.

Sources in law enforcement told TMZ that the police heard that the 20-year-old former actor was allegedly selling cocaine out of his home and they decided to send an undercover cop in to make a purchase.  Then, on Tuesday morning, deputies were issued a search warrant and raided the house.

A source told the NY Daily News that Patton's parents were home on Tuesday, during the time of his arrest.

His home was searched and he was arrested by Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies, CNN reports.  "Deputies allegedly seized cocaine from the residence," stated a release from the  Los Angeles district attorney's office.

Patton could face almost a decade in prison if convicted, prosecutors said on Thursday, according to NY Daily News.  His bail was set at $30,000.

Unless a friend or family member has managed to help him with his bail, Patton remains in jail, the Examiner reports.  The former soap actor was unable come up with the $30,000 bail on his own.

The actor had been nominated for a Daytime Emmy for outstanding young actor in the 2009- 2010 filming of the drama series, 'Days of our Lives,' CNN reports.  However, in 2010, the young actor was replaced shortly before his storyline changed to include details about him coming out as a young gay man, the NY Daily News reports.

Patton also has experience in several small films and TV series, including on 'Cold Case' and 'That's So Raven,' according to CNN.
