Liam Hemsworth did his part to quell the rumors surrounding his relationship with Miley Cyrus this weekend. According to reports, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star turned down numerous advances from women during his time at the Cannes Film Festival.

According to the New York Post, Liam attended a JW Marriot party where women were "tossing ice cubes and other little items, including red lipstick, at him and his table to get his attention." Later in the night, the source claims that Hemsworth was "swarmed by eager girls."

However, Liam seems to have turned the ladies down.

"It was definitely a guys' night out as Liam held court with his agent and manager," the source said.

Meanwhile, Miley was spotted with her engagement ring on as she performed her hotly anticipated (seriously, check out this fan art) new single "We Can't Stop" at the Billboard Music Awards.

Miley has recently put down rumors that the couple's engagement was falling apart with pictures on Twitter and a rant in V Magazine.

The former Disney starlet told the publication that the reason her and Liam aren;tseen together was because they lead busy lives:

"And it's like, I'm not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it's 'Are they broken up? Because we don't see a photo of them.' I don't have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don't. I'd rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him. And then I'm at the studio all day. He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio. I put this record before everything, and I've never done that with anything. I've put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it."
