After an NBC News special on the tornado that devastated Moore, Oklahoma delayed the start of "The Voice" on Tuesday night, the singing competition continued to pay tribute to the deceased and those affected by the storm as Oklahoma native and show judge Blake Shelton ditched his usually lighthearted mood and paired with his wife, Miranda Lambert, for a moving rendition of "Over You" to open the show.

Shakira and her team members then joined together to sing "I'll Stand By You" and "The Voice" then asked viewers to donate to the Red Cross at 1-800-HELP-NOW.

After the emotional tributes, the show returned to its business of narrowing the Top 10 contestants to a Top 8. The following eight acts advanced to next week, in no particular order:

Amber Carrington (Team Adam)

Danielle Bradbery (Team Blake)

Holly Tucker (Team Blake)

Judith Hill (Team Adam)

Michelle Chamuel (Team Usher)

Sarah Simmons (Team Adam)

Sasha Allen (Team Shakira)

The Swon Brothers (Team Blake)

Josiah Hawley of Team Usher and Kris Thomas of Team Shakira were eliminated, which meant that the rookie judges have just one remaining contestant, while veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have three apiece.

Season 4 of "The Voice" also has no solo male performers left. Seven of the Top 8 are women and The Swon Brothers are the only men left, as well as the only non-solo act.

The Top 8 perform next Monday at 8 p.m. in a two-hour broadcast, followed by the results show on Tuesday.
