Though it seemed like the publicity surrounding recent "Kitchen Nightmares' restaurant Amy's Baking Company could not get worse, news of owner Samy Bouzaglo facing possible deportation has recently surfaced. The infamous restaurateur and his wife and business partner, Amy, have garnered a lot of negative press since appearing on the popular Gordon Ramsay show and then freaking out on their Facebook account at "haters." Plus Amy's criminal record and jail time have surfaced, making this deportation news just another addition to a long list of misfortunes for this unique couple.

Samy, a Moroccan-born Israeli citizen, came to America 13 years ago after stint in prison for charges of drug distribution and extortion charges. His failure to disclose information about his past has lead to the possibility of being deported from the United States. He is also banned from France and Germany.

The Arizona Republic contacted Bouzaglo about this story but he only said, "The FBI knows all about me.... The IRS knows. I want people to know about me. But not today, not tomorrow. I have nothing to hide."

"We both made mistakes in the past. We have done our time," His wife Amy added.

The 40-year-old stubborn cook formerly known as Amanda Bossingham pleaded guilty to using another person's Social Security number to apply for a $15,000 bank loan back in 2003. She served one year in prison in 2008 for her crime.

Yesterday Amy's Baking Company reopened its doors to reservation-only customers, complete with a group of security guards to enforce this notion. This week will mark a weeklong "Grand reopening," which the couple were going to hold a press conference for but cancelled due to a letter from the "Kitchen Nightmares" production company. Amy and Samy were told not to badmouth the show or its host Gordon Ramsay in any way.

As a result, the reopened restaurant saw a very small turn out yesterday.
