Oklahoma Tornado: Christian Musicians Take To Twitter And Pray For Victims Of Oklahoma Devastation

Following devastation that occurred in the Oklahoma City Area from the tornado on May 20, Christian music artists have taken to twitter to let the victims of the tragedy know that they are keeping them in their thoughts and prayers.

I have compiled a list of artists that have posted tweets expressing their concern for the victims and have mentioned keeping them in prayer:

Hawk Nelson (@hawknelson) tweeted on May 20, "Do we have any twitter followers in the OKC area? Praying for you guys."

Amy Grant (@amygrant) tweeted on May 20, "Please consider texting REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation to help those who are suffering from so much loss in OK #PrayForOklahoma"

TobyMac (@therealtobymac) tweeted on May 20, "Lifting up Oklahoma!! Heartbreaking....Lord, please meet them at their need. Great comforter, please be their refuge."

Sanctus Real (@sactusreal) tweeted simply, "#PrayforOklahoma" on May 20.

for KING & Country (4@kingandcountry) tweeted on May 20, "Jesus, you're our refuge and strength. Through devastation and desperation you're still Jesus, our refuge and strength. #prayforOk"

Brandon Heath (@brandonheath) tweeted on May 20, "Thinking about our friends in Moore, OK. Was just there and talked about how they pulled through the F5 Tornado in '99. We are with you OK."

Building 429  (@building 429) tweeted on May 20, "#pray4oklahoma #WEWONTBESHAKEN," along with a photo asking fans to pray.

Laura Story (@LauraStoryMusic) tweeted on May 20, "Praying for those affected by the tornado in OK tonight, asking God for both physical and emotional healing in the wake of this storm."

Mercy Me (@mercyme) went a step farther and posted a video on their webpage honoring in the victims of the Oklahoma tragedy and accompanied by their song, 'The Hurt & The Healer.'  Their last tweet on the subject was posted on May 22 and stated simply, "Pray for Oklahoma folks," with a link to the new video.
