Ciara is prepping for her comeback album and the "Body Party" singer has been making promo rounds to discuss all her latest endeavors. From her "beef" with Rihanna, relationship with super producer and rapper Future, and new music with Nicki Minaj, CiCi has a lot to talk about. On the heels of the radio success of "Body Party," Ciara finally dropped her single "I'm Out," featuring Nicki Minaj.

"I'm Out," comes off as song for the ladies, it features a bass heavy beat, which immediately implies that it is dance track, yet it falls flat; lacking a climax, as the famous "bands and pour it up," beat loop is the sole basis of the track. While Nicki Minaj holds her own on, consistently showcasing her versatility and ability to adapt to almost any beat, somehow Ciara's cross between singing and rapping fails to entertain, as her lyrics are even less appealing.

Nicki Leads the track with "Ayo CiCi, let me show you how to do a singing bitch greasy," and you almost want to think is she referring to Rihanna? As Nicki continues, she also refers to someone trying to play her on social media. Nicki raps, "You want to play me? On Instagram b*tches want to shade me." If you recall Rihanna and Ciara exchanged posts and indirect words on Twitter and Instagram earlier this year.

Just when you think Ciara is going to back Nicki up, she starts her verse, with a robotic style speaking voice, saying, "I just went through a break up..." For the entire song Cici goes from semi singing voice to the "Goodies" Ciara voice that made her breakout hit a success.

When listening to "I'm Out" it is obvious that Ciara is undergoing a transformation as an artist as she is still trying to find herself. In a recent interview on The Wendy Williams Show Ciara broke out in a Roman Zolanski (Nicki Minaj's alter ego) British accent, as she explained to Wendy that "she didn't know where it came from...she has just been trying out new things lately." Trying out new things and getting to know yourself can be a great thing, however we are just not sure if this style of music works for Ciara. Nevertheless with Nicki Minaj on the track it saves it from becoming an epic fail, but will that be enough?

What do you think of Ciara's "I'm Out" featuring Nicki Minaj?

Ciara's album Ciara hits shelves July 9.
