The rock band Muse, whose music features heavily in the upcoming Brad Pitt zombie movie World War Z, will perform for 15,000 fans at the film's premiere on June 2 in London, according to Billboard.com.

The premiere will be held at Leicester Square in London and Muse will perform the concert at Horse Guards Parade Ground in St. James' Park after the screening. According to Billboard.com, the event is "an unprecedented marriage of a full-scale concert and a film premiere."

Tickets for the concert go on sale May 28 at www.worldwarz.co.uk/MUSE.

The movie features 14 minutes of Muse's music, mostly the song "Isolated System" off the band's latest album, The 2nd Law. The song can be heard throughout much of the film.

Muse's music also provides the soundtrack for the trailers for World War Z.

Randy Spendlove, Paramount Pictures' President of Motion Picture Music, discussed the use of Muse's music in the movie and the premiere concert.

"It made the movie feel and sound really cool," Spendlove said in the Billboard.com article. "After we layered in the music, we reached out to their management in the U.S. (Q Prime) and the U.K. (Anthony Addis) to see how we could reach beyond the movie. We wanted (the relationship) to be bigger than that."

Paramount plans to film the concert. Spendlove expects Jimmy Kimmel, among other talk show hosts, to report on the event in London.

Brad Pitt stars in World War Z as United Nations investigator Gerry Lane who travels the world as he tries to stop the global pandemic that is vanquishing entire armies and destroying governments.

The movie opens June 21.
