Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham, Memorial Day Weekend [PHOTO]: '22' Songstress Spotted in Rhode Island with 'Girls' Star, Are They BFFs?

It looks like Taylor Swift and Lena Dunham decided to celebrate Memorial Day together after being spotted in Rhode Island out to lunch. The 27-year-old "Girls" star was accompanied by her boyfriend Jack Antonoff and Swift's "Red" tour opener Ed Sheeran was also there. Plus actresses Hailee Steinfeld and Jessica Szohr were hanging out as well.

Of course this was not the first time Swift and Dunham have been spotted hanging out together. Earlier this month after the May 6 Met Gala, the two young stars were seen grabbing a late bite to eat at a New York City diner.

Back in 2010, Lena stated:

"I feel like the way she uses autobiography in her work and the way she calls out guys who have, you know, fronted on her before, but at the same time there is something sort of affectionate and non-judgmental about her music that I appreciate."

And just this January she admitted to reaching out to the "I Knew You Were Trouble" singer. "I sent her a message. I was like, 'I just want to let you know that your albums have gotten me through a lot of very hard times,'" Dunham said.

After learning that Dunham was a fan of hers, Swift said:

"Lena Dunham is this girl who is so incredibly talented. She's a writer, director and actress who stars in this show called Girls on HBO. It's my friends and I's favorite show. I've always been really blown away by how she's so young -- she's in her mid-20s -- and she does all these things ... For someone like that to listen to my music -- it was a really good day for me."
