The Lonely Island New Album: ‘The Wack Album’ Release Date June 7, Features Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Adam Levine, Kendrick Lamar + More

The Lonely Island, the comedic musical trio of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, will release their new album, The Wack Album, on June 7 and it features a bevy of guest musicians.

Confirmed collaborators on the album include Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Marron 5's Adam Levine, Kendrick Lamar, Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong, Solange, T-Pain and Pharrell Williams.

The first track on the album to hit the public was "3-Way (The Golden Rule)," which debuted as a non-album single way back on May 24, 2011 after it originally aired as a music video on "Saturday Night Live."

The album's lead single, "YOLO," was released on Jan. 25, 2013 internationall and on Jan. 27, 2013 in North America. The song featured Levine and Kendrick Lamar.

The Lonely Island first announced The Wack Album through a cover story in the independent magazine Paper (based out of New York City) on Apr. 30, 2013. Universal Republic Records then officially announced the album on May 4, 2013 with artwork and pre-orders, along with a 15-second commercial.

The Lonely Island released two previous albums: Incredibad in 2009 and Turtleneck & Chain in 2011.

The group first gained mainstream attention when Samberg and his fellow "SNL" cast member, Chris Parnell, performed "Lazy Sunday" on the show.

But The Lonely Island has had major success on YouTube with their videos. The video for "I Just Had Sex," which features Akon, has nearly 200 million views and the band has four videos with more than 100 million views.
