Zayn Malik, Perrie Edwards: One Direction Singer Promises Little Mix Girlfriend More Time Together, Mum Joins Twitter to Fight Trolls

Zayn Malik of One Direction "feels guilty" about his relationship with Little Mix member Perrie Edwards. That is, he does not like the fact that he spends so much time away from her because of their busy schedules including the latest announcement affecting their future: One Direction's world stadium tour entitled "Where We Are". But Malik isn't ready to call it quits with Edwards just yet. Reports claim that he has promised her that the relationship will work and that he is willing to but the effort into it. Sorry One Directioners!

"Zayn feels guilty about how much time he spends away from Perrie," an insider explained to Star Magazine. "He has made a pact with her that whenever he gets a break, he will see her. They've made it work before, but have never spent this much time apart in one go. Zayn has sworn to Perrie that she doesn't need to worry. He has promised her that he will do anything to make their relationship work."

While One Direction was in Italy recently, Perrie traveled to the country in order to be with her beau. It looks like Zayn is willing to pay her back with similar visits and gestures.

In a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Zayn talked about how the couple's trust is the key to their future together.

"We both trust each other - I spend a lot of time out of the country on tour. She often flies out so I see her a lot. I think the key to a good relationship is being best friends too," he said. "I spend more time with her and the band than I do with anyone else. She's really great."

Another important woman in Zayn's life, his mother Tricia, has taken to Twitter to defend her celebrity son from social media haters. The One Direction member is half Asian and also Muslim, so he has been attacked on many occasions over the Internet. Last year, taunts from people calling him a terrorist resulted in him quitting Twitter for a brief time.

In one instance, Tricia responded to one malicious tweet, saying, "Hope you're happy now Zayn noticed your tweet! You can't even imagine how it made him upset, you psycho."
