J.Cole is ready for what may be one of the most significant battles of his career! The “Power Trip” is challenging Kanye West to an official album duel and leaving it up to the fans to decide which album they will purchase, Born Sinner or Yeezus if not both on June 18th. With his album release date drawing near J.Cole covers the June 2013 issue of Billboard Magazine and drops a new single “N*ggaz Know.”
It’s a Cole World for those who forgot and J.Cole is here to make sure n*ggaz know. His latest single from his forthcoming album features Cole’s signature productions, vibrant and smooth-the perfect balance of hip-hop and soul. Cole raps, “Made a million off rapping, make sure yall n*ggaz know!”
His cockiness could be interpreted as premature, however this super producer/rapper has earned the right to boast. “Power Trip” was an instant hit, for that matter most of his singles if not all were, and his is not just a rapper, he is an artist, producer, and Jay-Z’s protégé. Releasing his album on the same day as Kanye highlights his confidence in himself and in his fans.
