Rick Ross the boss and his Maybach Music Group are gearing up for the third installment of the "Self Made" mixtape series. Wale teams up with the Boss, Ricky Rozay and Lupe Fiasco for the conscious track, "Poor Decisions."

Ross, Lupe, and Wale offer their personal experiences with struggle, making challenging decisions, and how to spend the money you have or may not have. By the end of the song, the lyrics fade out focusing on "Poor n*ggas making rich decisions," for those who spend their last to buy things that they can't essentially afford.

The video is produced by Dre Films, for Mayback films complements the song as the artists allow the lyrics to be the guide to the visuals. Rick Ross's verse lends to baby mama drama in the hood, while Lupe's scene features him rapping in a rural plant lot and focuses on the life of a iron and steel worker. Wale, who is up last, highlights the "poor n*ggas making rich decisions,' as the vignette features a young black man spending his last at the sneaker store.

While "Poor Decisions," is obviously a conscious record, many fans blasted Lupe for getting on a song with Rick Ross, especially after his Reebok date rape lyrics scandal. Nevertheless the song is positive and allows the Ross, Wale, and Lupe to address a societal issue and shed light on poor decisions that are made within their respective communities.

Self Made Vol. 3 is said to be released summer 2013.
