The shakeups for next year's Season 13 of "American Idol" continue as The Wrap reported Tuesday that the show is firing longtime executive producers Nigel Lythgoe and Ken Warwick.

An inside source revealed the information to The Wrap, though Fox declined to comment on the story.

Lythoge and Warwick have been with "American Idol" since its first season in 2002 and also worked together on the British series "Pop Idol" prior to that. Lythgoe left "American Idol" in 2008 but came back in 2010.

The Wrap first reported in early May that "American Idol" would undergo major changes before Season 13, including the departure of all of the Season 12 judges. Since then, Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj all departed the show, which only leaves Keith Urban. Reports have continued to circulate the Urban would not return next year, but Urban said last week that he does not know what the future holds with regard to "Idol."

Ratings for "American Idol" declined dramatically in Season 12 and the firings appear to be an effort to bring fans back to the show.

The show has reportedly planned to bring in former "American Idol" contestants, including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson, for the Season 13 judges' panel. But a senior executive told The Wrap that those plans are on hold since Fox reality chief Mike Darnell left the network during the Memorial Day Weekend.

"We can't make any moves on 'Idol' without someone in there," the executive told the site.

Other former "Idol" contestants mentioned in reports are Adam Lambert and Clay Aiken.
