CMT Music Awards 2013: Taylor Swift, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood, Lenny Kravitz, Jason Aldean, Nelly, Florida Georgia Line, Others Will Perform During Live Broadcast

One of the biggest nights in country music kicks off at 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday with the live broadcast of the 2013 CMT Music Awards co-hosted by Jason Aldean and Kristen Bell on Country Music Television. The event will emanate from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., the heart of country music.

Taylor Swift, Hunter Hayes, Carrie Underwood and many more will perform during the show. Lenny Kravitz will collaborate with Aldean for a live performance, while Nelly and Florida Georgia Line will take the stage for a rendition of their crossover hit "Cruise."  The latter performed the original version.

Other performers will include Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Keith Urban, Little Big Town and Luke Bryan.

Several awards will be handed out Wednesday night in multiple categories, including Video of the Year, the big prize of the night. Nominations in that category are:

Brad Paisley, "Southern Comfort Zone"

Carrie Underwood, "Blown Away"

Eric Church, "Springsteen"

Florida Georgia Line, "Cruise"

Hunter Hayes, "Wanted"

Jason Aldean, "1994"

Kenny Chesney, "Come Over"

Little Big Town, "Tornado"

Luke Bryan, "Kiss Tomorrow Goodbye"

Miranda Lambert, "Mama's Broken Heart"

Taylor Swift, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"

Tim McGraw, "One of Those Nights"

The six finalists for the award will be announced at the start of the broadcast and fans will then vote for the winner. More voting information is available here.

Other categories include Male and Female Videos of the Year, Group Video of the Year and Breakthrough Video of the Year.

Eric Church, Luke Bryan and Miranda Lambert obtained the most nominations at the 2013 CMT Music Awards with four apiece.
