It's become a bit of a Cole World around these parts and for good reason. J. Cole's hotly anticipated new album Born Sinner drops in 11  days. Here we have more new music from the album, the Kendrick Lamar collaboration "Forbidden Fruit."

True to his word, J. Cole is still the only rapper on the album who actually raps. Lamar handles the hook on "Fruit" a track built off the same "Mystic Brew" sample as A Tribe Called Quest's "Electric Relaxation."

While Cole originally planned to release his album on June 25 (as showcased on his Truly Yours 2 mixtape cover art) , he moved it up to the 18th to show confidence in his project and take on the reigning king of hip-hop promotion, Kanye West.

The lyrics on the track either prove that Cole had been planning the showdown for a while, or the track wasn't recorded until late in the session as he mentions challenging West.

Cole held Born Sinner listening sessions in several cities last night, so it's likely this track was snagged by some forward-thinking listener.

What do you think? Are you excited for Born Sinner? Does "Forbidden Fruit (feat. Kendrick Lamar) quench all your hip-hop head desires?
