Jessica Sanchez NEWS: 'Glee' Cast Praises 'American Idol' Sweetheart On Tour Of Philippines

This will come as no surprise to loyal Blujays but Jessica Sanchez is kind of a big deal in her mother's native country of The Philippines,So obviously, the Glee cast took the time to sing the American Idol alum's praises during a trip there.

Mellisa Benoist had this to say about Sanchez, who played Frida Romero on the show for a two-episode arc that included the season finale:

"There was a moment when we were shooting when Jessica Sanchez started to sing her song live and just kind of stripped down version of the song and everyone just went quiet and stopped to listened to her. She was amazing."

This remark echoes the sentiments expressed by other members of the Glee family.Showrunner Ryan Murphy sang the Me, You & The Music diva's praises.

"Well, when you have a voice like that, we wanted her to be in every episode this year. But she couldn't because of the tour," Murphy said in an interview with the Manila Bulletin.

Jessica Sanchez was recently shouted out by someone with a much higher profile than Murphy or Benoist. President Barack Obama shouted her out during a speech after she sang at the National Memorial Day celebration.
