Paul McCartney has made a lot of music in a lot of genres over the years and he's just as comfortable working on electronic dance music as any other form. The former Beatle's most recent project involves lending his vocals to Italian performer The Bloody Beetroots' upcoming single "Out of Sight."

Beetroots, the stage alias of performer Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, is being coy about the track for now, releasing a 30-second preview clip on Monday that gives just small snippets of song (you can check it out below). The first few blurbs feature rolling bass and a simple drum beat, played over a children's chorus singing a "na-naaaa-na" refrain. Toward the end of the clip, the dub drops out and McCartney is left singing a ballad and playing the piano ending in the soulful wail he made famous while with the Beatles. The song also features Youth, the founder of English post-punk band Killing Joke, as a producer.

The imagery in the video is sparse, just a black and white television struggling to find a signal. The loud bursts of static separate the shorts spurts of music.

Text in the video serves as credits, listing "Bloody Beetroots" and introducing the vocal contributors as "Paul McCartney" and "Youth." The final messages announce that the single in its entirety will be available on RollingStone.com on June 14, and available for download via iTunes on June 18.

It's not McCartney's first time dabbling in electronic music. The vocalist has done various recordings with Youth over the years, usually operating under the nickname "Fireman."

Beetroots is supposedly launching an album in 2013 on the Ultra Records label and McCartney is currently touring in the United States.
