Wale, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa keep the "Rotation," with a Kid Cudi inspired stoners track. Wale's "The Gifted" drops June 25th and the DC native has been releasing new tracks for the past two weeks. His latest single "Rotation" comes after he dropped the "Bad" remix featuring the original bad gal, Rihanna.
"Rotation," follows the mellow and soulful aesthetic Wale has created on his sophomore project. The mellow drum and base heavy "Rotation", best heard while chillen with your crew or on a dolo tip relaxing after a hard days work. Wale sings on the hook, "Five blunts in rotation," and the additions of fellow marijuana lovers 2 Chainz and Wiz Khalifa makes for the perfect session.
The is the second single from Wale's sophomore album "The Gifted." "It's gonna have one sound. It's very, very soulful," Wale told Rap-Up about the follow up to 2011's Ambition. For this album Wale held no punches with the guest apperances, according to Rap-Up, "The Gifted" will include features from Nicki Minaj and Juicy J ("Clappers"), Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz ("Rotation"), Ne-Yo and Rick Ross ("Tired of Dreaming"), and even his comedic idol Jerry Seinfeld ("Black Heroes / Outro About Nothing").
"It's a little nostalgic, a little vintage, but the sounds will make you feel on this album," Wale said.
