There's no denying that pop singer Carly Rae Jepsen had the summer of a lifetime last year with her smash hit "Call Me Maybe." The Canadian starlet is aiming to do it again this summer with "Tonight I'm Getting Over You," which she performed this morning (June 14) on Good Morning America.

Jepsen performed the poppy dance track to a packed crowd in New York's Central Park. Sporting a high bun on top of her head, dangling earrings and a bedazzled black leather jacket, Jepsen pranced about on stage, not seeming to mind the dull drizzle of the morning.

Before the performance, Jepsen was asked what it was like to work with Nicki Minaj, who performs a guest verse on the album version of the track. "It's always fun to work with someone who's totally doing a different style than you, and I feel like the song just wasn't finished until she added her touch. I love the way it turned out," she said.

No performance from Jepsen would be complete without her No. 1 jam of last summer, "Call Me Maybe." This morning, however, the songstress debuted a new dance remix to the beloved, poppy song. It was the first time the track had ever been performed live in that way.

With new, flashy drum snares and an electronic beat, "Call Me Maybe" was more danceable than ever, not like it really needed help getting people off their feet and singing along. For this performance, Jepsen stripped off her jacket and sported a simple black and white tank top and red shorts.

Background dances in white T-shirts and black shorts helped to get the audience, some of whom were wearing umbrella hats, pumped about the new version of the now-classic.
