Suraj Pancholi, the former boyfriend of deceased Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, will spend at least one more week in jail after courts ruled to push his bail hearing back on Friday until June 21.

The actor was arrested last week in the ongoing investigation into Khan's suicide. The charges for abetting a suicide could result in up to 10 years in prison.

Khan committed suicide on June 3 at her home in Mumbai. Police seized a series of letters the actress had written to her mother and to Pancholi. In the letters addressed to her mother, Khan claims to have had an abortion and references abusive behavior, although she doesn't name the offender. Rabiya Khan, the mother, has told the media and police that Jiah had facial injuries around the time that she and Pancholi split.

However a six-page letter alleged to be Khan's suicide note, which appears to be much more damaging to Pancholi's cause was released by the Times of India this week. In it, the actress accused her ex of abuse, rape, and also reiterated the claims that she had an abortion. Police have obtained records from a Mumbai hospital that confirm that the actress underwent the procedure.

An excerpt from her tragic suicide note can be read below.

"When I first met you I was driven, ambitious and disciplined. Then I fell for you, a love I thought would bring out the best in me. I don't know why destiny brought us together. After all the pain, the rape, the abuse, the torture I have seen previously I didn't deserve this. I didn't see any love or commitment from you. I just became increasingly scared that you would hurt me mentally or physically. Your life was about partying and women. Mine was you and my work. If I stay here I will crave you and miss you. So I am kissing my 10-year career and dreams goodbye."
