There hasn't been too many details leaked about Lady Gaga's upcoming album "ARTPOP," expected for release later in 2013, but German electronic artist Zedd gave some brief comments on his role in the record's production.

"I'm really, really excited for people to hear what we came up with," Zedd told Rolling Stone. "I just really can't imagine they would not like it, to just say it straight up. I think the stuff we've made is pretty f-----g cool."

The German producer has hit the charts already in 2013 with his single "Clarity," but he hinted that fans shouldn't expect his work with Gaga to follow his usual Electronic Dance Music style, but at the same time, the duo didn't try to avoid the genre either.  Zedd said that he had finished up work on "five or six" tracks for the pop star, but that a lot of ideas were still bouncing around. He described the process of working with Gaga as being very experimental, saying that the star would do things like state an emotion and ask Zedd to make a beat based on it.

Zedd, like Gaga a member of Interscope Records, met the songstress at a party in 2011. He put together a song for Gaga and, by Zedd's recollection, she called her manager with the demand "I want this guy to produce my album."

Zedd toured with Gaga during the Asian leg of her "Born This Way" tour in 2012.

Gaga's 2011 album "Born This Way" sold more than a million copies in its first week, making the highest selling one week album since 50 Cent's "The Massacre" in 2005, and only the fifth woman to go platinum in just one week of sales.
