All reports indicate that Paris Jackson is getting along well after being put into the hospital following a suicide attempt a week-and-a-half ago, but doctors didn't see it fit to allow Michael Jackson's daughter to attend the wedding of her cousin, Taj Jackson. Jackson is currently undergoing observation at the UCLA Medical Center.
Grandmother Katherine Jackson is reportedly on edge about Paris's state, but is hopeful.
"She's optimistic Paris will get the help she needs," E!'s source said. "She doesn't think Paris realized at the time how serious the consequences of her actions would be. The hospitalization has hit Paris hard that this is serious."
Still, that didn't put a damper on the proceedings, according to E!'s inside source.
"I think everyone was trying to block it out and just enjoy the wedding," they said. "You wouldn't know anything was going on."
Michael's sons, Prince Michael and Blanket, seemed to be doing okay, dancing and conversing with their cousins. The event was described as essentially a Jackson "family reunion."
The day of course belonged to Taj and Tayana Jackson, the newlyweds, but a Jackson family wedding is bound to generate attention. Naturally, big names like Janet Jackson showed up, but the rest of Michael's siblings were eager to share the spotlight. Brother Jermaine sang a three-song set, dedicating the last song to his mother Katherine.
One wedding guest that wasn't a Jackson perhaps got the most attention. Kris Jenner, star of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" got even more attention than usual, considering her daughter Kim just gave birth to one of the year's biggest celebrity babies yesterday.
The wedding was hosted at the Jackson's family home in Hayvenhurst, CA.
