Boy band fans were all aflutter when '90s favorites Backstreet Boys announced the premiere of their next single today (June 17).

The "Shape of My Heart" group teased fans earlier today by tweeting, "Got some fun news we really want to share with you guys! Wanna know what it is? ;) Tweet #NewBSBMusicComingSoon and maybe we'll tell you..."

Fans quickly responded, making the hashtag a trending topic within minutes of the initial message. "Well that's an exciting hashtag!" @nickbassett1981 responded. "U guys are killin me!" @RoseLovesAJ exclaimed. Other fans followed begging the boys to tell them what, exactly, was happening.

Ten minutes later, BSB finally announced what was going on:

Shortly after announcing the new single premier, the boys said "So ready to get new music to you guys! Make sure you tune in tomorrow to the #InAWorldLikeThisZ100Premiere & let us know what you think!!!"

The official studio version of "In A World Like This" comes after the band has already been performing the song live during their In A World Like This tour.

The mid-tempo track features a strong lead vocal from A.J. McLean, though all five members seem to have a solo section, in true BSB fashion. An acoustic driven instrumentation plays beneath the poppy harmonies of the group, perfectly blending the boys' poppy past with their newer adult contemporary. The track is not wholly unlike their last lead single, "Straight Through My Heart" off 2009's This Is Us.

"In A World Like This" is off the Backstreet Boys' upcoming 2013 album of the same name. Though a full track listing has not yet been released, other songs on the record include promotional single "Permanent Stain," "Madeline" and "P.S."

In A World Like This will be released on July 30. A North American tour is set to follow the album, kicking off in Chicago Aug. 2.
