The rumors regarding Paris Jackson's suicide attempt have reached a juicy new high/low with The National Enquirer's publishing of their "in-depth" investigation into why Michael Jackson's daughter did what she did. We cannot emphasize enough how this is a rumor, not necessarily fact.

According to the Enquirer and its inside sources, satanic voices and a desire to reconnect with her deceased father pushed Jackson to attempt suicide by slitting her wrists and overdosing on Motrin. The source said that family members found videos stored on the teen's computer in which she admitted to be haunted by the voices, and one of the videos featured Jackson reciting the lyrics to the Nirvana song "I Hate Myself and Want To Die."

Earlier reports had indicated that Jackson had clashed with her guardians over wanting to attend a Marilyn Manson concert in Los Angeles, and their refusal caused her to attempt suicide. However the Enquirer's story goes far beyond that in stating that grandmother Katherine Jackson felt that Jackson's choice of music, namely Manson and Nirvana, were pushing the girl to devil-worshipping.

"Katherine said the musicians were 'the spawns of Satan,' and if Paris continued listening to them, she'd be 'on the road to eternal damnation,'" the source reported. "Katherine told her, 'I will not allow you to worship the devil under my roof! These people are in league with Satan. They have seduced you, through their evil music, to follow them and become a devil worshipper too.'"

It's not exactly the first time that Manson has been referenced to as a devil-worshipper by a misunderstanding parent (or grandparent). The guy did release "Antichrist Superstar" after all. But Kurt Cobain's status as a Satanist is probably surprising to even the most conservative of listeners.

Paris remains at the UCLA Medial Center, undergoing observation. She probably isn't suffering from Satanic voices and Kurt Cobain probably wasn't the Satan worshipper among the grunge scene. It was probably Jerry Cantrell
