British alternative rock group Arctic Monkeys released a new video late last night, sparking rumors that a new album may be on the way.

"Do I Wanna Know?" is a slow burning song, with an edge heavier than anything they've put out to date. "Crawling back to you, / Never thought of calling when I've had a few, / As I always do, / Waking up to, / Was it me and yours to fall first from loving you? / And I tell it true," singer Alex Turner croons over a stomping beat and creeping guitar lines.

The accompanying video shows sound waves morphing into sexy shapes, a smoking woman, cars on a road and more. Watch the simplistic clip below:

The track continues with the more weighted sound the Monkeys have been experimenting with lately. Their previous single, "R U Mine" was similar in tone, albeit quicker in tempo and higher in pure rock energy.

Despite the minor shift in sound from their last, classic pop rock-influenced album Suck It And See, fans have reacted positively to "Do I Wanna Know?"

The Twitter announcement, posted shortly after midnight, has over 4,000 retweets and 2,000 favorites as of press time. Fans remark on the "cool video" and how they were "very excited for new @Artic Monkeys." When asked "Do I Wanna Know?" One fan simply responded with "YES YES YES!"

The new track has gotten fans excited about a potential new album. In a May interview with NME, drummer Matt Helders stated that the band had been working in the desert with each other. Though there are no deadlines according to Helders, the drummer said the album would sound like "2013" and that "we'd be stupid if we made a 2013 album and released it next year."

Though the goal may seem lofty, it's not unreachable for the hardworking Brits. Arctic Monkeys are notoriously quick at putting out albums. Since their debut Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I Am Not in 2006, the group has released four albums. The 2013 release would mark their fifth studio effort and would be the follow-up to 2011's Suck It And See.

With a new song to whet their appetites, fans should get used to the darker, heavier Artic Monkeys, as the album is likely to follow in the footsteps of "R U Mine" and "Do I Wanna Know?"
