Jiah Khan Dead, Bollywood UPDATE: Autopsy Indicates Actress Had No Other Bodily Injuries, Indicates Suraj Pancholi's Innocence?

An official autopsy report has been released regarding Bollywood actress Jiah Khan, and it confirms  that she did in fact die as a result of hanging in her Mumbai apartment. Perhaps a more relevant note in the report is that "no external injuries were found on her body." 

Khan's former boyfriend Suraj Pancholi is currently imprisoned under allegations that he abetted the suicide of the actress. Khan's mother Rabia has accused Pancholi of pushing her daughter to suicide by way of physical abuse and rape. The mother claims her daughter had facial injuries around the time that the pair split, which would have been recently enough that the wounds would have been noted in the autopsy. 

A suicide letter was released last week, although it's currently being analyzed by handwriting experts for its authenticity. The letter doesn't indicate to whom it's addressed, but it seems clear that it was intended for Pancholi, because the actress hadn't been dating anyone else who she could accuse of cheating. The letter provided the basis for Rabia's claims of rape and abuse, and it also indicated that the actress had gotten an abortion. Police obtained records from a Mumbai hospital that indicate Khan did receive the procedure. Whether or not the letter is deemed to be authentic will probably be the key piece of evidence used against Pancholi. 

An excerpt from the heartbreaking letter is featured below: 

"When I first met you I was driven, ambitious and disciplined. Then I fell for you, a love I thought would bring out the best in me. I don't know why destiny brought us together. After all the pain, the rape, the abuse, the torture I have seen previously I didn't deserve this. I didn't see any love or commitment from you. I just became increasingly scared that you would hurt me mentally or physically. Your life was about partying and women. Mine was you and my work. If I stay here I will crave you and miss you. So I am kissing my 10-year career and dreams goodbye."
