Due for a September 19, 2013, release, One Direction: This Is Us will give fans of the world's biggest boy band a glimpse into the lives of Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Harry Styles. Directed by filmmaker Morgan Spurlock, this film will be presented in 3D and features live footage, backstage antics and personal documentation of the boys' lives. Some footage was shot as late as last month during some "Take Me Home" tour dates.

In an interview with News Limited, the band got to discuss the documentary-concert film. Band member Louis Tomlinson revealed that the film will "show people who we are".

The boys explained that there was no script involved in this documentary.

"It's all a reality," said Tomlinson.

Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend Harry Styles added, "It's always going to be scary when you're allowing someone to come in and film everything you're doing because it's ..."

"Your private parts," Liam Payne interjected.

"And they are meant to be private," Tomlinson added.

Styles continued, "Because they're the parts that are supposed to be covered. But they're not."

"They're just there for everyone to see. Like a slap in the face," Tomlinson concluded.

Though this might be a new experience for fans, One Direction member Harry Styles points out that life in front of the camera is nothing new for the band.

"When we started our career, we lived with cameras for 10 weeks on The X-Factor. So we didn't have any problem having the cameras around. It was just a case of getting to know Morgan as we were shooting the movie. And it is exciting because ... through social media or in interviews, you can never really get to know someone. This movie is a great chance for fans and the people who don't really know us to see a different side of us."
