If one music video stands out in the history of the media form, the 13-minute epic narrative that went with Michael Jackson's "Thriller" is it. Not only did the short-film help Jackson's album of the same name become the best-selling record of all time, it helped Ola Ray find some degree of stardom for the time being.

Ray plays Jackson's girlfriend in the film. Viewers will recall a several minute sequence before the minute begins where she is walking with Jackson before panicking as he transforms into a werewolf. More than 30 years later, the actress is releasing a single paying credence to the deceased pop star.

"Remember" will be available on iTunes. Ray said that the track is meant to honor Jackson and commemorate the time the pair spent working together for the "Thriller" video.

"This project has been a year in the making," Ray said in a statement. "I am very happy to have finished it in time for Michael Jackson's fourth year anniversary passing. I hope everyone will enjoy."

The song will, of course, have a music video to accompany it. The dancers won't be quite at the same level of Jackson's million-dollar production, but performers from a dance class in Ray's hometown of Sacramento will assist in the production.

Ray broke into the entertainment business as a singer, got noticed by Playboy magazine, and ended up catching the attention of the "Thriller" video producers.

It does seem a little odd that Ray is choosing to pay tribute to Jackson and her experiences with him in a song. Only four years ago in 2009, Ray sued the pop star for supposed breach of contract for unpaid royalties from the music video. She reached a settlement with his estate in 2012.
