Andy and Lana Wachowski have given us the Matrix trilogy films and the recent Cloud Atlas, each of course have pushed the envelope of what filmmaking is capable of in entertaining movies. Their next movie, Jupiter Ascending, is sure to do the same and push the envelope even further. Starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, this original sci-fi world will be brought to life in awe-inspiring ways, according to the star of this summer's White House Down. Tatum recently talked more about his role in Jupiter Ascending and exciting process of filming this project.

During a press junket for White House Down, Tatum talked a bit about this new sci-fi film. He explained:

"We are breaking ground on-I mean it's a tough shoot.  We're doing stuff that's never been done, inside the camera, in the CG world, and the physical stuff. There's very little, if not no, digital stuntmen in the movie. All the stuff is really real and it's been hard figuring it out because they don't like doing anything that's been done before. So we're definitely doing some new stuff, so hopefully everybody likes it.  And it's fun, it's got some cheek to it.  It's a cheeky movie a little bit."

He then took some time to describe his character, Caine:

"I'm a splice. Splices are essentially built in a test tube. I'm a hybrid wolf and human. And half albino, so I'm a little defective."

Jupiter Ascending is set for a July 25, 2014, release. Here is the official synopsis for the film:

"Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning toilets and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along - her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos."
