While the jury is still mostly out on Kanye West's challenging new album Yeezus, one particular group of Christian nu-metalheads have made their displeasure with the album known. P.O.D., the group famous for tracks like "Alive" and "Youth of the Nation," took offense at the track "I Am A God."

Sonny Sandoval, lead vocalist for the band, had some choice words for the rapper.

Via TMZ:

Sonny says, "Kanye West deceives many and will lead many people astray."

To hammer his point home ... Sonny quotes Matthew 7:15-23 -- Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
"

However, it may do Sandoval to brush up on his Bible. The track "I Am A God" (which was once misidentified as "I Am God" and thought to be the title of the album we know as Yeezus) derives its title from Psalm 82.

Here it is, straight from King James:

I said, "You are gods,

And all of you are children of the Most High.
 But you shall die like men,

And fall like one of the princes."

Arise, O God, judge the earth;

.For You shall inherit all nations.

West has long been obsessed with both royal and religious imagery, so it makes sense that he would be drawn to this particular passage.

What do you think of P.O.D. calling out Kanye West's Yeezus track "I Am A God"?
