Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith NEWS, Country Music UPDATE: Tornado Relief, Dealing With Tragedy In Country Music World

A lot has been going on when you sit back and take a look at the entire country music picture lately. Country music stars and their fans are always ones who will rally together when times get hard. When Toby Keith wrote his song "Red White and Blue" after the 9/11 attacks, Americans were belting right along with him while they drove in their cars listening to the radio. I remember that next summer in 2002 I was only in seventh grade; I was driving with my family to go see the fireworks in July when I first heard that song. Somehow it made me feel good to know that America has a strong resiliency. Now, Mr. Keith, along with many other country stars, and every genre of music for that matter, are coming together again to patch up another black eye. This time it was Mother Nature who delivered the mighty sucker punch to Oklahoma City, Okla.

There are a lot of country music artists who are from that state, including Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. Benefit concerts, auctions, fundraisers, any way you can think of to raise money has been getting done thanks to musicians across all genres. There is no doubt Lambert, as well as everyone from the area is thankful for the efforts so far. We all know there is still more to be done, and some things cannot be repaired or replaced. For the irreplaceable, there will be a scar on the heart of America, and we will always remember those lost in tragedy.

Blake Shelton helped to organize a relief concert which ended up raising a lot of money for the relief effort. Now Toby Keith is coming in for round two, setting up a relief concert for Oklahoma as well.
