Kanye West's new album Yeezus hasn't quite reached the critical mass or sales numbers of Kanye's 2010 effort My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, but it was enough to get him into the rarefied air of conversations involving GOAT contenders Eminem and Nas.

Selling 327,000 in its first week of release, Yeezus is Kanye's sixth number 1 album tying him with Eminem and Nas on the all-time list for most number 1 albums. In rap, Yeezy, Nas and Em trail only Jay-Z who has 12 number 1 releases.

Jay-Z trails only the Beatles on lists that include all artists, though it is quite a gap. Jay's 12 (and probably 13 with the release of Magna Carta Holy Grail  next week) is seven short of the Beatles 19 number one studio LPs.

What do you think of Kanye West tying Eminem and Nas? Does he deserve to be held in the same esteem as the two?
