Taylor Swift has to be one of the more popular celebrities to be on twitter. She has more followers than some countries have people. She just discovered this number this weekend when she was about to send a tweet about her cat food perhaps?

Taylor Swift has been on the country scene for a while now. She isn't new anymore and it would appear that her fan base is just never going to stop growing. Taylor Swift appeared on the voice this year, she swept the billboard awards this year, and she won a celebrity fragrance award this year as well, according to her website.

Taylor Swift is an icon at this point. Not only is she famous in the United States, but people in countries all over the world love this girl.

Lately she has run into a couple speed bumps if you want to call them that. A lot of her fans are boycotting Abercrombie and Fitch due to a shirt they put on the shelves. Her fan base got together however and got the shirt pulled off the shelves. Another one that is semi-recent is John Mayer's supposed comeback song, "Paper Doll" that is supposedly retaliation to her song, "Dear John."

Overall Swift is on track to be one of the most famous and influential people in the world. Her fans and colleagues seem to love her and respect her, which is more than likely the best part of being as famous as she is.
