There is a lot of debate between whether a studio version of a song beats the live version. Sometimes though, a live version is clearly the better choice. It would appear in this viral video which was put out on youtube a few years ago, that the folks at WGTY in Gettysburg, PA got a shot of a lifetime.

The group is Love and Theft, they are a relatively new sound to country music. Their harmony reminds one of the way The Eagles used to rock the stage, yet their young sound and fast pace brings youth and energy that comes from new music. In this video the trio comes together and performs a version of their song "Runaway" which blows away everyone in the studio. They are completely unplugged for the performance, it is just their voices and their guitars. They manage to make it work perfectly, however.

The three stand there all with their own guitars. One plays lead, anther plays rhythm and the other plays solo. They are all spot on throughout the performance, as far as I can tell, both with their vocals as well as their guitar picking abilities. If this were a performance I paid to see at a concert, I would be very happy.

What do you think of this performance? Was it great, good or ok? Let us know what your opinion is in the comment section of this story. We want to know what you think.
