The boys of One Direction are using their celebrity to help take a stance against bullying. Yesterday the boys released five new videos featuring each member talking a bit about bullying and how hurtful it can be. All of them are quite familiar with the subject, especially with social networking being so easy to connect with fans and vice versa. Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, Zayn Malike and Harry Styles have all had experiences with the subject, whether it was themselves directly or their significant others.

Band member Louis Tomlinson is dating model Eleanor Calder who recently revealed that she has gotten death threats from One Direction fans. In Louis' anti-bullying video, he addresses cyber bullying specifically. Perhaps it is because of Eleanor's ordeal, but he still sends a good message.

"I think in a way bullying might be easier with the likes of social networking," the 21-year-old said. "You will get some kids that get bullied that are a bit more feisty and brave and they can stand up for themselves, whereas other people are quite timid and are less confident."

Also, Harry Styles takes a more broad approach and addresses bullying in general.

"I think bullying is such a huge problem that I think so many people just overlook because it's kind of always been there and it's always been an underlying thing," he said.

"It's almost like the bullies aren't going to say that there's something happening and then so many of the people being bullied are scared to say anything. Even in terms of school they don't want to say that they've got a bullying problem, so it's all a cover up," Harry added.
