Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Back Together Before Release of New Music: Is Jelena Relationship a Publicity Stunt?

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez sure know how to make headlines. The on-again, off-again couple seem to be back together, after the two reportedly spent the Fourth of July together and a video surfaced of the duo playing with sparklers.

Now, Bieber has released a new photo on Instagram of himself and Gomez in the back of a car. With the hashtag #heartbreaker, the picture appears to be from today (July 5).

But, is the Jelena romance just a publicity stunt? The "Boyfriend" singer and "Come & Get It" songstress seem to reunite right before they have big news to drop.

The last time the couple was spotted together was right around the release date of Gomez's movie Spring Breakers premiered, and both parts of the couple have big things on the horizon.

Of course, any movement Bieber makes in his personal life will make headlines, and an on-again, off-again relationship is the perfect thing to get both fans and retractors talking right before new music is due to drop.

Gomez's first solo album, Stars Dance, is set to be released later this month on July 23. Meanwhile, Bieber's much-hyped single "Heartbreaker" has been teased for weeks. Though the release of that song is supposed to happen "suddenly," it's expected soon. Wouldn't it be convenient if the song were to drop right after the couple broke up yet again?

Earlier this week, Bieber hinted that "Heartbreaker" will be released "suddenly." Meanwhile, Gomez has been promoting her new album and single "Come & Get It," which included a performance at Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular in New York City.
