J. Cole and Wale may be competing on the charts having dropped the biggest albums of their careers this June, however the two emcees it's a friendly competition. They both boast about their new albums, Born Sinner and The Gifted on their new collabo "Winter Schemes" produced by Jake One.

The freestyle track features a soulful hip-hop beat familiar to both Cole and Folarin's style. Cole starts it off with a long-winded verse in which he reiterates some of the points he made on Born Sinner. He raps:

"I'm sorry, brand new Ferrari
But really though im frontin
Dont really mind discussin
That Bugatti in that Beyonce video was just for stuntin
Scared to mash the gas
Cause if I fucked around and crashed
That would have been my ass
That whip is 'bout a million cash (million cash?)"

Wale follows up on the chorus-less track with the second verse that brags about his versatility as an artist with mention to Rihanna on the "Bad" (remix, and highlights an extension of his soulful movement embedded in The Gifted. Wale idolizes himself when he raps:

"New black soul new black soul, new black soul
Aint tootin' my horn but I'm the new satchmo
I'm Bishop Tutu with a 2Pac flow
You niggas think too slow/ You peek-at-chu but I'm Picasso"
