Jay-Z and Ciara are probably both somewhere poppin' champagne in celebration of the July 9th release of their albums Magna Carta Holy Grail and Ciara respectively.

According to new reports Jay-Z's twelfth studio album, although it is already certified platinum, is doing better than Billboard projected for its first week sales. Billboard initially projected Hov's latest project to move between 350,000 - 400,000 copies. However, the level of success has been recalculated, with the disc now projected to move between 450,000 to 500,000, Thisis50 reported.

While Jay-Z came out climbing the charts in 1996 with his debut album Reasonable Doubt, rarely suffering from lack of album sales in his more that a decade long career, Ciara has not had the same luck.

However, as she released her first album with Epic Records self-titled Ciara, CiCi's new hits will help the album to move 50,000 to 60,000 copies. Almost 20,000 more albums then her 2010 Basic Instinct, which sold 37,000 in it's first week.
