Michael Jackson has always had a notorious reputation when it comes to kids, but evidence presented at his family's ongoing lawsuit against AEG Live showed that when it came to his own children, the pop star was a loving and sentimental father.

The court was presented with a series of letters written by Jackson's children to their father prior to his passing.

"What's your favorite letters Daddy? Mine is 'G' for God and 'D' for Daddy," reads one piece of paper, signed by the performer's youngest child Blanket at age six. Michael notes up at the top that Blanket was "six years young" when the letter was written.

Another presented was by the hand of Paris Jackson, who has been unable to attend the trial while she is undergoing care following her attempted suicide in June.

"Dear Daddy, I love you so much & I'm so glad I got a goodnight hug," Paris wrote. "Sleep well, I love you & good night. I'll see you tomorrow! XOX Goodnight." The girl ends the letter with "lots of love" and added a heart to dot the "i" in her name.

AEG has argued against using the letters as evidence, suggesting that it was impossible to tell who really wrote the notes and when they were written. Taj Jackson, the son of Michael's brother Tito, claims he found the letters in a box in Michael's bedroom following the performer's death.

The Jackson children and their grandmother Katherine are suing AEG, alleging that they did not pay enough attention to Michael's health leading up to his "This Is It" concert series, and that the company hired Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted of manslaughter for administering a fatal dose of propofal. The family is seeking up to $40 billion in damages.
