Grammy-award winning Canadian indie rockers Arcade Fire will release their untitled fourth studio album on Oct. 29, according to the band's Twitter account today (July 12).

Replying to a seemingly random fan who tweeted "you're my favorite" to the band, they replied with "Thanks. Our new album will be out October 29th."

A photo accompanied the social media message, which shows six of the band's members with a bright crimson treatment over their bodies and faces. That image is underneath what appears to be an exploding globe sculpture, not unlike the main focus of Disney's Epcot theme park.

Rumors from a Revolt TV post made it seem as though new material from the band would drop on Sept. 9, which many assumed to be the follow up to 2010's The Suburbs. It's possible that date is when the first single from the new album will drop.

As MStars reported last month, the "Wake Up" band's new album was recorded in several locations all around the world as opposed to the Quebec church which was the recording venue for 2005's Neon Bible and 2010's The Suburbs.

Little is known about what direction Arcade Fire will take on this new album. However, it is known that LCD Soundsystem mastermind and producer James Murphy worked on the record. "The album is going great. I'm too in the middle of it to know which way it will go in the end. But it's going to be a fantastic record," he told the Daily Star.

Arcade Fire's last album was the Grammy-winning The Suburbs. Watch their video for "Ready to Start" below:
