It looks like Tara Reid is having a good week. Syfy's airing on Thursday of their original movie, "Sharknado" has put Reid back in the spotlight. She may be infamous for her antics outside of acting, but her recent lead role in the film has landed her in the spotlight again. The Twitterverse went crazy when the film originally aired last week and has created such a huge buzz that Syfy is prepping an encore airing for this Thursday at 7 p.m. EST. TMZ reports that Reid is on board for a movie sequel because of the surprising success.

She states,

"I'm just so glad that people saw the humor in it that I did ... because it's hilarious."

She adds, "This movie was so ridiculous, you know? Like it's almost so bad that it's good."

One member on Twitter that may have gotten the joke early is Elizabeth Wylder, a Chicago woman who according to In Touch Weekly signed up for the account @Sharknado in 2009. Tara Reid and several others tweeted at the woman while joining in on the live-tweet hashtag #Sharknado.

Reid tweeted to the @Sharknado account from her handle, @TaraReid stating:

"I actually can't wait for @sharknado it might be even better then snakes on a plane !!! Lol ;) I hope you will have as much fun as I had"

Craig Engler, senior executive at Syfy also reached out to celebrity Sharknado fans for a chance to be in the sequeal when he stated from the @Syfy account:

". @oliviawilde @MiaFarrow We have roles for both of you in the #Sharknado sequel @DamonLindelof is writing for us."
