Beyonce Trayvon Martin Tribute [VIDEO]: Queen B Moment of Silence, Performs Whitney Houston 'I Will Always Love You' And 'Halo', Young Jeezy Wyclef Jean Trayvon Tribute Songs

The nation was rocked Saturday night following the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the shooting killing of Trayvon Martin. The entertainment world was significantly impacted as celebrities used their star power to show support for the Fulton-Martin family and ridicule the American justice system for its lack of justice in the Martin case. Young Jeezy and Wyclef Jean made a songs dedicated to Trayvon, Solange Knowles lead a peaceful protest in Brooklyn, and the list goes on.

Hours after the verdict was announced Beyonce stopped her Mrs. Carter Show World Tour performance in Nashville, Tennessee to have a moment a silence for the slain 17-year-old before singing a tribute in his honor.

"I'd like to have a moment of silence for Trayvon," the pop star said as the stage grew dark with just a few key lights shining, the Washington Times reported.

Following the moment of silence, Queen Bey sang the chorus of "I Will Always Love You," written by country music star Dolly Parton and performed by Whitney Houston, before transitioning into her hit "Halo."

Bey wasn't they only artist to pay homage to Trayvon Martin through song, Atlanta Trap star Young Jeezy dropped his single "It's A Cold World (A Tribute to Trayvon Martin) immediately after the verdict was delivered. Jeezy issued this statement with the release of the song: "I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events." "These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it."


Activist, singer/songwriter Wyclef Jean also dropped his own tribute, "Justice,"in honor of Trayvon Martin. Check out the official video below.
