Zayn Malik of One Direction saved the world some heartache last night when he stopped his band mate Harry Styles from walking into a giant wall of flames that were part of the "Take Me Home" stage pyrotechnics. Just as Harry, Zayn, Niall, Liam, and Louis were wrapping up their cover of Wheetus' "Teenage Dirtbag" last night in Chicago, Styles decided to wipe his face off with a towel. He then left said towel draped over his head in a way that he was covering his vision, and he then began walking towards a large flame that had been set off to signal the end of the song. Luckily for Harry and his fans, Zayn came to the rescue.

Harry Styles could have easily lost his signature brown locks in this close call. Lucky for him, Malik happened to be looking in Styles' direction and tried warning him of the impending wall of fire in front of his towel-covered face. When he realized Styles was not able to hear or see his warnings, Malik sprung into action and grabbed his mate before the flames singed his curly brown mop top.

Check out the video from last night's concert of the boys singing "Teenage Dirtbag." Pay attention to Harry and Zayn towards the end of the song and you will be able to see Styles' close call:

Here are some YouTube reactions of Zayn saving Harry:

"I don't know why but I find Zayn grabbing Harry to protect him the cutest thing ever! I had to watch that part over and over again!"

"How Zayn rescued Harry!! ♥ And then Harry_ made all those girls wet and practically teased them! Of course only Harry! ;3"

"OH MY GOD HARRY XD aww but Zayn saving Harry tho aww Zarry_ ~"

"I can't help but laugh at Louis' reaction when Zayn_ went to save Harry at 3:49. He looked confused and a little bit like "wtf just happened". :-D"

"if zayn did not_ see harry i have no idea of what would happen"
