If the summer Billboard Hot 100 seems stagnant, that's because it is. For the third week in a row, the first four spots on the chart that marks the top songs in the country are the same.

As pop music fans and chart followers can expect, Robin Thicke's sexy, controversial "Blurred Lines" falls at No. 1 for a sixth straight week. Daft Punk's "Blurred Lines" sits blocked from the top spot in the country at No. 2 for fives weeks in a row. Miley Cyrus' "We Can't Stop" is the youngest high rising song, with three weeks at No. 3. Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive" dropped from No. 3 to No. 4 when "We Can't Stop" rocketed up the charts, and has been in that spot for three weeks as well.

Though it's not the most exciting chart in the history of Billboard's Hot 100, the stagnancy of summer singles should really be no surprise. Last year, Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" was in the No. 1 spot for nearly the whole season, spending nine weeks at No. 1. It kept Maroon 5's "Payphone" in the No. 2 spot for a good portion of its chart-topping success.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Can't Hold Us" and Florida Georgia Line and Nelly's "Cruise" are the big game changers in the top six spots, switching places. "Can't Hold Us" is back at No. 5 while Florida Georgia Line are driven down a spot to No. 6. For those keeping track, that mean's this week's top six spots are identical to the charts for the week of July 13.

Bruno Mars is slowly climbing up the chart with his throwback jam "Treasure." It has gained a spot to No. 7. Jay-Z's "Holy Grail" debuts at No. 8 on the Hot 100, failing to be this year's highest debut only to Baauer's "Harlem Shake," which rocketed to No. 1 when Billboard began counting YouTube views in its formula.

Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors" and Anna Kendrick's surprise pop hit "Cups" fill out the top 10 at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively.

Will the charts be any more interesting for the week of July 27? Only time, and the sway of pop music fans, will tell.
